Shot Design – Lalang (Part 1)

One of the shots in the MV is a close up of a group of lalang grass. Today I did a test render with one lalang that is quickly modeled using nurbs and with fur added.

Physical sun and sky in mental ray is used for the twilight shot. Much is still required to make this work:
– Tonal shifts in the sky for better composition
– Darker tones required for the grass below, might have the horizon visible.
– Blurer/diffused sun
– Variety for the different lalang that will come later
